Some Human Trafficking Statistics and Stop Child Trafficking Now

Almost every day people visit my blog and website searching for “human trafficking statistics”, so I thought it would be helpful to gather some information* about slavery and trafficking that Stop Child Trafficking Now has recently been sharing on Twitter and post it here for reference.  Here are some facts and statistics about human trafficking in general and child trafficking specifically . . .

  • Over 100,000 children in the U.S. are currently exploited through commercial sex, and 300,000 children in the U.S. are at risk every year for commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Investigators and researchers estimate the average predator in the U.S. can make more than $200,000 a year off one young girl.
  • The global market of child trafficking is over $12 billion a year.

Stop Child Trafficking Now is working to put an end to child trafficking by addressing the demand for child sex slaves and targeting the source of the demand – the predators who drive the sex industry.  By prosecuting and convicting the predators and putting them behind bars, child sex trafficking can be stopped.  Learn more about how SCTNow and their Special Operatives Teams are working to achieve this by reading more about them at their website.
